How To Add Favicon To Your Genesis Blog

faviconPin It

Here’s what I’ve learned today about the theme (Genesis Framework) I’m using in this blog. I wanted my photo to show in the tab as a favicon. Well, normally you would just add a piece of code to the head section of your main page. But I tried another way. If you are using the Genesis Framework with a child theme this is for you (and it works, I’ve tried).
For that I installed a plugin called Genesis Favicon uploader.
1. First you install and activate the plugin.
2. Then you need a small photo (16×16 pixels) saved with a name favicon.ico
3. Then you go to Genesis – Upload Favicon in your WP Admin area and upload the favicon.ico file. Voilá!
